Two sisters. One goal to connect the next generation of travelers to sustainable travel brands across the globe. We’re your Baggage girls.
What do we do? Create content that showcases our love for travel, the planet, and the sustainable brands we encounter as we explore.
Our own education, travels, and experiences living on the island of Martha’s Vineyard have taught us all about sustainable tourism.
With degrees in Marketing, Communications, and Creative Writing, we work with the travel brand and the traveler in mind – forming meaningful relationships between you and your target audience.

Why Sustainable Travel?
Sustainable travel addresses the economic, social, and environmental impact of travel. The right types of trips are the total package – supporting local communities, inspiring connection, and educating travelers on environmental issues.

Laney Henson
I’m Laney, a writer and travel content creator with a love for sustainable living. I have a degree in Communications, Marketing, and Creative Writing; and experience working with both major corporations and small businesses across the globe.
My love for environmentalism and sustainable travel stems from the coastal island community that I call home. Living on Martha’s Vineyard, I have witnessed first hand both the harmful and beneficial aspects of tourism.
I love traveling, working with sustainable brands, and sharing everything I learn along the way to help people fall in love with new places. My goal is to highlight the companies hard at work to make the tourism industry more sustainable for the next generation of travelers.

Maddie Henson
I’m Maddie, and my love for travel began when I embarked on a four month marine conservation program to the Bahamas at the age of 18. After months of diving and minimalist living, I developed a passion for ocean conservation and sustainability.
Over the past seven years, I've developed my skills as a travel photographer and videographer while traveling to 15 different countries. With my degree in Marketing, I specialize in highlighting small and sustainable brands. I have worked with 30+ brands to date, most of which are in the niche of travel and/or sustainability.
When I’m not traveling, I live on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, where I run my own marketing business. I offer social media, photography, and videography services to local businesses. Additionally, I co-own an oyster farm on the island, which has enriched my understanding of marine conservation and deepened my commitment to living a sustainable lifestyle.
